MicroSD (T-Flash) was originally called
T-Flash and then TransFlash before being rechristened
microSD when adopted by the SD Card Association (SDA).
Other flashcard formats approved by the SDA include
miniSD and SD The microSD card is a type of removable
flash memory card designed specifically for mobile phones
and other small devices. microSD cards are usablein
SD-compatible devices via an adapter. Like any flash
memory card, it can beused to store various types of
files, including photos, videos, music, or software.
Currently, microSd comes from 64 to 512 megabyte capacities.microSD
/ TransFlash is one of the smallest memory card formats
available; amicroSD / TransFlash card is about the size
of a fingernail. It was designed tobe smaller than competing
formats, to allow phones using the format to be smaller
overall.
